The Douglas 4th of July Committee thanks all Douglas residents, businesses and organizations for flying the American flag on Flag Day, June 14. More than 20 property owners flew American and Alaska State flags that day. The committee is thankful to all those who went further with decorations of red, white and blue on their properties. The committee encourages residents to leave decorations up though July 4, when U.S. independence will be celebrated with parades and other celebrations.
