100 years of the Empire

In November, the Juneau Empire celebrates 100 years as the voice of Alaska’s capital city. A centennial is cause for celebration and reflection, and you can help.

If you have clippings, historical photographs, stories or history to share related to the Juneau Empire or its earlier iterations, please contact an Empire editor.

Beginning in August, the Empire will share in print and online the photos and stories that celebrate the history of this publication.

You can send stories or photos to Neighbors editor Melissa Griffiths at melissa.griffiths@juneauempire.com. For photos, please make sure files are .jpeg or .jpg and at least 200 DPI. Be sure to include important information if you know it, like who is in the photos, when and where the photos were taken, and who took the photos.
