The Glacier Valley Rotary Club is again this year hosting Juneau’s 9/11 commemoration ceremony.
The ceremony will be held at Riverside Rotary Park and starts at 9:40 a.m. sharp and concludes at 10:15 a.m.
“It’s an opportunity to recognize our first responders and honor our promise to never forget the tragic 9/11 attacks that took so many lives and sent shock waves around the free world” said Glacier Valley Club President Richard Burns.
The 9/11 memorial at Riverside Rotary Park is Alaska’s only memorial and believed to be the second one constructed in the United States.
