Thank You for supporting Glacier Valley Rotary Club's $10,000 Duck Derby

As “Freda” flies south for the winter, the Juneau Glacier Valley Rotary Club wishes to thank Juneau for the tremendous support and success of this year’s Juneau Duck Derby!

Our flock would like to give a huge thanks to our release and rescue team: Coastal Helicopters, Capital City Fire and Rescue, and the Alaska Army National Guard — we applaud your expertise!

Special thanks to our event sponsors and contributors Jenson Yorba Lott, Juneau Radio Center, Capital Loan Services, Affordable Auto Sales, Family Practice, Filipino Community Inc, Mendenhall Auto Center, Shattuck & Grummett Insurance, Alaska Litho and KATH TV.

Thanks also to the many contributors of door prizes on the day of the event: Valley Paint Center, Alaska Knifeworks, Red Dog Saloon, Little Diggers Landscaping, Alaska Litho, Affordable Auto Sales, Sarah Hieb, Prudential Realty, Gas-n-Go and Pavitt Health & Fitness.

And we didn’t go hungry, thanks to Capital City Rotaract and Alaska Army National Guard.

The $10,000 Duck Derby directly benefits our community; after awarding $10,000 in cash prizes to five lucky duck winners, your generous support allows us to continue funding scholarships for our local youth, support club-identified community needs and make improvements to Riverside Rotary Park.

Thank you Juneau! We sincerely appreciate your support and eagerly await Freda’s return next year.
