Once again the Juneau community has completely overwhelmed us with the outpouring of support, generosity and volunteerism with the fourth annual Hasty Half.
More than 200 people turned out for this event, including about 130 runners and walkers and more than 70 volunteers, many of whom were Savannah’s friends and teammates from swimming.
Donations in the amount of $2,400 were collected on behalf of the Savannah Cayce Memorial Fund.
This sense of community, the wonderful friendships and the joy of running shared by all who participate are what makes living in Juneau so special.
We would like to express a very sincere thank you to all who ran, walked, organized, supported and donated — we appreciate every gesture extended for this worthy cause.
And a special thank you to Savannah’s family, Southeast Road Runners, Glacier Swim Club, the high school swimmers and Juneau teens — your help and support with this was immeasurable and resulted in another successful Hasty Half fun run event. The gorgeous weather we had was a bonus.
Thank you all so much for making this event so fun and a huge success.
