Election Family Night for Preschoolers

Assembly member and ventriloquist Carlton Smith, right, with Charlie, will provide entertainment at Tuesday's election family night at 5:30 p.m. at the downtown library.

After placing their vote at the polls, families of preschoolers can swing by the downtown library to celebrate this important night. The Association for the Education of Young Children - Southeast Alaska will hold a family night Tuesday, Nov. 6, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Downtown Library. Local Assembly member and ventriloquist Carlton Smith and his “friend” Charlie will be special guests. Preschoolers will practice voting, read the book “President Pennybaker” and enjoy crafts and a light supper. Call AEYC at 789-1235 for more information. Preschool Family Nights are held the first Tuesday of every month, sponsored by AEYC, Best Beginnings, Friends of the Juneau Public Libraries, thread and United Way.
