Juneau residents and those with ties to the community shared what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving. What are you thankful for?
Jill Weitz: I am thankful for Jan Rumble and Tim Bristol. Two incredible members of this great community we call Juneau. Jan and Tim have contributed time and energy to hockey, swimming, conservation, and science; they will continue to do so in their soon to be community of Homer. Thank you for being wonderful friends. Get your guest room ready. Safe travels North!
Patrick Sroczynski: I’m thankful for one of the most beautiful place in the world which is Juneau, Alaska. You wondering why? Just because I was made there 25 years ago. Spend there seven months seeing darkness and born two months later in Poland. I hope one day I’ll have a chance to see Juneau and met people who know my mom.
Danielle Lillard: I’m thankful my family is able to help out those in our community who are in need by donating food and other items to charities such as the Southeast Alaska Food Bank and the Glory Hole.
Joey Jean Tillson: I’m thankful for the second chance I’ve been given to live my life with my loved ones.
Melissa Griffiths: I’m thankful for a community full of caring, supportive and interesting people who are always willing to share.
Codi Riblet: I’m thankful for the advanced technology we have today. My husband and I are about 4,000 miles away from family so it’s nice being able to stay connected with everyone back home.
Dellila James: I am thankful for God, the love of my life. All of our children, grandchildren, family, as well as friends. But first I am thankful to God for all of the blessings and lessons I have gained. For without God I would be lost. So thank you God for loving me as I am.
Theresa Norberg Williams: I am thankful for all my blessings. From my family to a steady supply of diet coke. I am most grateful for the fact that I recognize I have enough to share and find ways to do so, and all my generous friends who help me do it.
Jackie Timothy: I am thankful to be employable and employed.
Christine Yatchmenoff: I am thankful for my kids and friends to help me through the rough year I have had . I am thankful for them being there when I needed them the most a shoulder to cry on an ear to listen to when I needed to vent and for God.
United Way of Southeast Alaska: We are thankful for the people and organizations across the region that come together to improve the health, education, and income stability in the communities of Southeast Alaska!
Laurie Carrick: Family <3
Jennifer Thorne: I’m thankful for the opportunity to move back to this beautiful state.
Sarah Day: Receiving so much support from family, friends, colleagues, strangers and the community since my apartment building caught on fire.
