Christmas crackers

Holiday crackers

Add a bang to your Holiday Season during the City Museum’s Drop-In Activity.

Stop by the Juneau-Douglas City Museum on Friday, Dec. 7 and make your own holidaycracker. Also known as party crackers, these small gifts are a British tradition dating back to Victorian Times.

Crackers contain cracker snaps, a tissue paper crown and a joke or riddle. There will be candy and decorating supplies on hand for you to add your own touch. Bring your own message or small trinket to further personalize your holiday cracker.

This drop-in activity will be held on First Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is open to all ages. The cost is $5 per cracker.

For more information visit or call 586-3572.

The Juneau-Douglas City Museum is located at 114 West 4th St. on the corner of 4th and Main Streets. Winter Hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m.-4p.m. with free December admission thanks to Michelle and Robert Storer.
