The Schenker and File families of Juneau announce the return of SSgt. Robert P. Schenker to Juneau after completing his third deployment in Afghanistan. Schenker will arrive in Juneau Dec. 13 at 12:45 p.m., and the family invites friends of the returning Marine to join them in greeting Schenker at the Juneau International Airport as he reunites with his toddler daughter Avy and others. SSgt. Schenker is attached with the First Marines and his most recent tour included heli-borne operations into the Zaminduwar District of Afghanistan against Taliban strongholds, Schenker’s father wrote.
