That jolly old elf, Santa Claus, visited Juneau Friday, helping fire fighters hand out candy to Juneau boys and girls from near the Mount Roberts Tramway to Douglas, but if his presence was missed, he’ll be back once more before Christmas day. After the Auke Bay Fire Station Christmas Open House from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, during which Chief Etheridge will read Christmas stories and Santa is rumored to stop by, Santa will most certainly be traveling on board the Auke Bay Area Fire Department truck starting at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 22, from Auke Bay Station down Back Loop Road to Lake Shore Drive, Steelhead, Silver, Wren Drive and on to Montana Creek Subdivisions Then he will return after greeting the children by Back Loop Road, stopping at the All Season subdivision.
