Homeless awareness and money raised

Posted: December 23, 2012 - 1:03am

This November, the Juneau-Douglas High School interact club had their annual homeless awareness sleep-out. Thanks to everyone involved, we managed to raise $2,060 that will benefit the Glory Hole as well as homeless teens in Juneau. This is more than we’ve raised in previous years thanks to the generosity of the community. Interact would like to thank those whose contributions made the event as wonderful as possible. So a huge thank you to World Wide Movers, Safeway, Glacier Pediatrics, PetCo, Juneau Empire, Capital City Weekly, J-Bird, Sharon Gaiptman, Richard Burns, Jeff Brown, Marie Toland, Pioneer Home, Juneau Gastineau Rotary Club, Rotary Club of Juneau, and all the members of the community who helped make this event such a success.

Gabriella Worden, JDHS Interact
