Juneau’s Meals on Wheels Program is currently seeking dependable, trustworthy people to serve as meal delivery volunteers. Volunteers who are able to serve homebound elders in the Valley and Auke Bay areas around the noon hour are particularly needed at this time.
Volunteers wishing to serve the Valley and Auke Bay routes would pick up the meals at St. Paul’s Church between 11:30 a.m. and noon and deliver them to 10 to15 homes in a common location.
Volunteers are needed to deliver a regular delivery route one day a week or to serve as substitutes on an occasional basis. Training is provided. For further information, call Zachary Hozid at 463-6179.
