The Juneau Homeless Coalition would like to thank the community of Juneau for their outpouring of support, collaboration, and compassion witnessed at the fourth Annual Project Homeless Connect / Point-in-Time Count. Thank you to all the planning partners, volunteers and health care and service providers who generously took time out of their busy schedules to offer their skills and make this event a success.
More than 100 providers and volunteers served more than 200 participants, marking the largest Project Homeless Connect event in Juneau. Providers offered tangible, direct services and assisted with everything from haircuts, rental assistance and birth certificates, to immunizations and medical and dental consultations. Volunteers took surveys and guided participants to the services they needed — lending a friendly hand or an open ear.
