The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is hosting its second annual “Bunco for Breast Cancer” event at Tlingit & Haida Community Center at 3235 Hospital Drive.
“Think of Bunco for Breast Cancer as a girls’ night out with a mission” Tamara Collins, Infusion/Chemotherapist and the organizer of the event, urges.
She said Bunco for Breast Cancer is a chance to have fun with friends, roll some dice and raise money to help find a cure, adding that when women work together they can make big things happen.
“Together we can make a real difference and help put an end to this disease that impacts so many women and families.” Collins said.
No experience is necessary to play Bunco, said to be a fun and easy game. Men shouldn’t be afraid to get into the fray either, though Collins seems to target women, men are welcome to attend and participate.
At the event, there will be a silent auction and a raffle for three handmade quilts. The event is a potluck and attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to share. Admission will be $25 and all proceeds go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
To sign up and save a place, contact Collins at 796-8655 or at 723-0826 or email firstname.lastname@example.org .
Please write all checks to BCRF (Breast Cancer Research Foundation) for admission cost.
This event is being sponsored by Tlingit & Haida Community Council and Women of the Moose Chapter 439 Permit # 981.
