We at the Juneau Co-op Preschool would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the following community businesses and people for making the annual Zip-a-dee-doo-dah Family Concert Fundraiser a huge success: The Hangar on the Wharf and Pizzeria Roma for their extremely generous donation of pizza for the benefit dinner; Costco for the gift card used to purchase food and supplies; Metalworks, Eaglecrest Ski Area, Southeast Furniture Warehouse, Heather Ollenburg of NYR Organic and Simply Fun, Pat Costello, A Christina Art, Fog and Fern for contributions to the silent auction; and Andy Kline at KTOO for radio time.
We’d also like to thank all the preschool parents, teachers and kids who contributed and purchased the donations and handmade items in the silent auction, set up, cleaned up, baked cupcakes, painted faces, sold tickets, served food, performed, attended or simply wished us the best. Special kudos goes to parent Jessica Bovitz for keeping us all on top of what needed to be done.
Finally, nobody would have come had it not been for the fabulous entertainers, who gave the greatest donations of all: music, stories and a smile to take home. Thank you to MC Jack Schwarting; storytellers Lily Hope and Brett Dillingham; singers and musicians Linda Torgerson; Andy Fergusson; the Spaghetti Westerns consisting of Callahan and Travis Croteau, Owen Cruise and Libby Sterling; Juneau Jambusters consisting ofAmy O’Neil Houck, Selma Houck, and Reed Gardinier. Finally, a special thanks goes to all who attended. We hope everyone had fun!
