Raptor Center thanks community for great turnout on Juneau Appreciation Day

The Juneau Raptor Center would like to thank everyone who attended our 2017 Juneau Appreciation Day held on May 6. We had a great turnout and are very appreciative of the Juneau community for its continued support of the Juneau Raptor Center during these past years and continuing this support in the future. Special thanks to the Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway for donating the ticket sale proceeds to the Juneau Raptor Center.

As always, we are very appreciative of all our volunteers that helped with setting up for this event, greeting guests, and staying for cleanup. All of your help made this event run very smoothly.

In addition, we thank the education bird handlers. Present were Phil, gyrfalcon with handler Dale Cotton; Brutus, red-tailed hawk with handler Kathy Maas; and of course Lady Baltimore with naturalists Adrian Wilson and Lucas Crane.

We are not able to do this alone. Your donations will go toward food, veterinary services, medications, transportation and supplies needed for our work. Everyone’s support is greatly appreciated!
