SAIL announces disability etiquette trainings for hospitality industry

Southeast Alaska Independent Living (SAIL, Inc) is announcing new Disability Etiquette and Accommodation trainings for the tour and hospitality industry in Juneau. Trainings will cover a wide range of accommodations needed to assist individuals with hearing, visual and mobility impairments. This will include guiding someone with a visual impairment, assisting someone using a wheelchair, how to make businesses more accessible as well as information on local resources.

Attendees can choose one of two scheduled, public training sessions: Thursday, April 11, 5-6:30 p.m. at the Aspen Suites Hotel or Friday, April 12, noon-1:30 p.m. at the Prospector Hotel. Businesses can also set up a time for personal, customized trainings for their employees.
