Fahrenkamp/Kelly Legislative Putting Tournament a success

The 24th Annual Fahrenkamp/Kelly Legislative Putting Tournament was a success! The event, held March 14 and March 16, included a wonderful reception provided by Ralph Samuels and Holland America and the fantastic staff of the Baranof Hotel where the putting teams were “sold” by auctioneer extraordinaire Steve Allwine; guests also had the opportunity to peruse the Silent Auction Room.

On Saturday, the Putting Event took place in the hallowed halls of the Capitol, beginning at 8 a.m., with 53 teams of three golfers each participating; the putting course was brilliantly designed by James Armstrong, who surprises the golfers every year. The Tournament was followed by an awards ceremony at the Hangar Ballroom that was sponsored by PhRMA’s Kim Martin, Bartlett Regional Hospital Foundation and Armed Services Alaska YMCA. Bartlett Foundation and ASYMCA are the benefitted charities of this fun event.

A big thank you goes to our local delegation and staffers: Sen. Dennis Egan and staffer Alida Bus, Rep. Beth Kerttula and staffer Aurora Hauke, Rep. Dan Saddler with Kimberly Collins and Speaker of the House Mike Chenault with Tyra Smith-MacKinnon. Their support is always invaluable!
