Zach Gordon Easter Egg Hunt thanks

The Zach Gordon Youth Center’s 29th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 30 was an immensely enjoyable occasion that saw more than 400 of Juneau’s youth collect 7,000 candy-filled eggs and take home a special bag of toy prizes.

The egg hunt went off without a hitch thanks to the tremendously-appreciated contributions from the following individuals, who generously volunteered their time and effort to see that everyone left our event with great big smiles and baskets filled with Easter eggs. Our thanks to: our community, Jesuit Volunteers, SAGA, JYC Volunteers, Zach Gordon Youth Center staff members and the Thunder Mountain High School Softball Team members and support staff for their excellent assistance with event registration, egg hiding and prize bag distribution. Also, a special thanks to Mimi Mesdag at Juneau Community Schools for allowing us to use the beautiful and spacious commons area at Thunder Mountain High School as a convenient gathering spot for the egg hunt registration and prize bag hand-out. Thank you, once again, to all of you – as well as to anyone else whose name we might have unfortunately missed.

We could not hold this event without community support and volunteer efforts. Happy Spring and see you next year!
