Improv fest a blast

The first annual Alaska State Improv Festival, held April 19-20 at McPhetres Hall, was a real theatrical gem. Attracting talent from around the U.S. as well as Alaska, the joy, imagination and skill of these talented performers gave audiences a glimpse into the best the genre has to offer.

Juneau’s own Morally Improv-erished actors wanted a festival and they worked hard to get it together. Everyone involved deserves a medal, but Eric Caldwell and Mike Christensen did much of the heavy lifting. Thanks, guys.

I’m already looking forward to the next time.

Sincerely,

Mary Lou Spartz
