RCS students pitch in for Earth Day 2013

Raven Correspondence School students, teachers and family picked up litter around Juneau for Earth Day.

Thirty-five Raven Correspondence School students, family and friends earned an A+ for Environmental Stewardship, Community Service, School Spirit, and Fundraising! They removed 230 pounds of trash and recyclables from Savikko Park, Sandy Beach and Twin Lakes while earning $580 for our Raven activities fund! Hard work on a drizzly day was rewarded with a warm fire and s’mores celebration at the Sandy Beach Shelter. Many thanks to our generous sponsors at Litter Free Inc!
