Congratulations Juneau! Earth Day once again brought out the best and brightest in our community as we joined to celebrate and commit to our planet! I am reminded each year how special the folks in our city are as we gather for a day to educate and entertain in the spirit of Mother Earth.
Thank you Stacey Poulsen and Bud Jaeger for allowing us to hold our annual event at the Nugget Mall and for all of the help in making it happen.
A big thanks to Alaska Wildlife Alliance for supporting and helping me in so many ways to continue our Earth Day tradition of celebrating with our neighbors
Thank you All Nations’ Children Dancers for music and dancing to remind us of the joy and beauty inspired by our environment.
Juneau has a wealth of organizations and individuals who offer fun educational displays and demonstrations each year for Earth Day. My deepest thanks to all of you because it wouldn’t happen without your dedication: Discovery Southeast, Oceana, Friends of Recycling, Turning the Tides, Juneau Raptor Center, Juneau Audubon Society, National Weather Service, Carry Your Cup, Alaska Wildlife Alliance, Alaska Department of Fish & Game, Dick Callahan, Bill Leighty and Daniel.
Mostly, thank you, Juneau, the best community in Alaska!
