APOA thank you

The Capital City Chapter of the Alaska Peace Officer Association (APOA) would like to thank everyone who supported and participated in this year’s Police Memorial.

Thank you to NOAA Office of Law Enforcement Special Agent Frank Bonadonna who organized the event.

We appreciate the presence of City Manager Kim Kiefer, Assembly Member and retired JPD Captain Jerry Nankervis, House Minority Leader Beth Kertula, Rep. Cathy Muñoz, Senator Dennis Egan, former Mayor Sally Smith and members of the Customs and Border Protection and Capital City Fire and Rescue for all your dedication and continued support.

Special thanks to Edward J. Burns, Bishop of Juneau, the Juneau Police Department for hosting and the Breeze-In for furnishing food, the Juneau Pipe Band for the heartfelt bagpipe tribute, Taylor Vidic for singing our National Anthem, JPD Honor Guard presenting the colors, Adrienne Sypeck for playing taps, Martha’s Flowers for the beautiful wreath at Evergreen Cemetery and displayed at JPD.

And especially to all the law enforcement officers who not only put their lives on the line everyday, but to those men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice so that our communities are safe for our families and children.

Lt. Steven P. Hall, APOA President, Capital City Chapter and Alaska State Trooper
