People to People thanks

The Juneau People to People Student Ambassador middle and high school delegations would like to thank Reps. Cathy Muñoz, Beth Kerttula, Sen. Egan, Aurora Hauke, and Bonnie Gruening for taking the time to meet with us this April at the Capitol. We appreciate hearing about their personal experiences and getting advice on traveling and making connections with people from different parts of the world. Their words of encouragement will come a long way as our students practice their ambassadorial skills on our trip to Australia this summer.

We also want to thank Gary Rosenberger and Foodland IGA for letting our middle school delegation use their space for a Krispy Kreme fundraising activity.

Lastly, thank you to Stacey Poulson and the Nugget Mall for giving our student delegates a space to display their Australia research projects.

People to People is a student travel program founded by President Eisenhower with the intention of promoting world peace by increasing global awareness in our youth.

Respectfully,

Pam Garcia, Sandy Pahlke, Finn Cole, Madison Gilberto, Trevor Perov, Darian Perov, Iris Light, Brittany Gray, Halyn Birchell, Mattison Smith, William Solberg and Cheyenne Siverly
