Adoptable pets for the week of Sept. 22, 2013

Gastineau Humane Society has a plethora of pets available for adoption, with nearly 40 adoptable cats, a half a dozen small pets and a handful of birds ready for a new, loving home. To meet these pets, visit the Gastineau Humane Society, 2 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. For more information call 789-0260.


Birds (one dove and four parakeets)

If you are a bird person looking for that wonderful cooing dove or a chipper, gorgeous parakeet, we know where you can look! Stop by and visit our beautiful birds to see if they would fit in your heart for a forever home.

Small and furry (two rabbits, four guinea pigs and a hamster)

Small and furry but tons of love to give, GHS has several lovely small animals looking for a family of their own. Come visit and see if your family be their forever home.

1-year or younger (12 cats in adoption)

GHS has 12 wonderful cats in adoption right now who are 1-year-old or younger. All of these young cats are fun, adorable and still very much kittens. Please consider giving a young animal a chance at a new life.

2-years plus (25 cats in adoption)

GHS has 25 cats in adoption that are 2 years old or older. These are amazing cats that range from ‘in your face lovers’ to the ‘independent and polite’. If you have room in your heart to give an older cat a loving home, stop by and visit one of the many amazing cats in adoption.
