Gianotti earns Eagle rank

Zachary Gianotti has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award bestowed by the Boy Scouts of America. A senior at Thunder Mountain High School, Gianotti is a member of Troop 6, sponsored by Chapel by the Lake Presbyterian Church. For his Eagle project Gianotti constructed a bench and sound wall for a prayer garden behind St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. He was assisted by Scout Master Charlie Jones, Troop 6 scouts and community volunteers. Over 100 hours of work went in to the project. Cedar lumber for the project was provided by Hoonah’s Icy Straits Lumber. Gianotti is the son of Chris and Joan Gianotti.
