AARP invites Juneau residents to join representatives for a free lunch and two informative sessions on Social Security, Medicare and the Affordable Care Act.
AARP Alaska Director of Community Outreach Daryl Royce will lead a discussion about how to find responsible, commonsense solutions that will prevent harmful cuts to Social Security so we can keep the promises we’ve made to seniors. Share your ideas and have a say about the future of programs that matter to you and your family.
Join Jeanne M. Larson, health program associate with the Alaska Medicare Information Office, to learn about topics including new preventive health benefits, better access to care, the donut hole, strengthening the fight against Medicare fraud, Senior Medicare Patrol, how to protect your Medicare information, the importance of keeping a health care journal, the health insurance marketplaces in Alaska, where to find help in Alaska, the Medicare information office’s mission and resources for Alaskans. Bring your questions.
The event will be 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at Centennial Hall. For more information, contact Ann Secrest toll-free at 866-227-7447 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
