A happy Halloween on Douglas

The Douglas 4th of July Committee thanks the media and these organizations for sponsoring Halloween events in Douglas: the Treadwell Arena staff, Juneau-Douglas High School hockey team, Dzantik’i Heeni Middle School and volunteers.

Friday night, Treadwell Arena Staff decorated up the ice rink inside and out with a great Holiday theme. A new LED disco ball, along with the proper music, lit up the ice in brighter lighting. The JDHS Hockey Team was out on ice helping new and regular children have fun. The skaters’ costumes were creative for this scary, fun skate.

Saturday, For the annual Ghost Walk, Dzantik’ Heeni Middle School students, JDHS Hockey Team and volunteers built some new booths for games of skill for Douglas youngsters. Children and families wore colorful costumes for all to view.

Families, children and friends also thank everyone for an October fun weekend.
