Eaglecrest advances to Round 3: Ski Town Throwdown

Eaglecrest Ski Area is ready to rock the vote in the third-round match-up of Powder Magazine’s Ski Town Throwdown.

For two days, Nov. 18 and 19, Eaglecrest Ski Area will take on last year’s Ski Town Throwdown champions Red Mountain Resort in Round 3: The Sweet 16. Everyone is allowed to vote each day on Facebook via Powder Magazine. On Nov. 19, at 11 p.m. AKST, winners will be announced, advancing to Round 4: The Elite 8.

A rock the vote event will be a ramp-up to the final hours of the two-day voting period, hosted at the Red Dog Saloon Tuesday, Nov. 19, starting at 7 p.m. There will be door prizes and lively music, Wi-Fi for voting, and a projector flashing regular vote updates, Rock the Vote is sure to be a good time. The Red Dog Saloon is one of Alaska’s oldest saloons and a popular stop for many visitors to Juneau.

“We’ve had the best time cheering on Eaglecrest in rounds one and two,” said Sarah Cannard, Eaglecrest Ski Area Marketing Coordinator, in a press release. “It’s going to be that much more fun to root alongside the crowds at the world famous Red Dog!”
