Juneau community raises $6,600 for typhoon victims

We would like to say thank you to the Juneau community, for all those people who came and supported the fundraising event for the Typhoon victims in the Philippines, which was held Nov. 16 at the Best Western Grandma’s Featherbed Restaurant. We appreciate the help and overwhelming support. The donations and proceeds will go a long way for the victims who are in desperate need of food, water, shelter and medical supplies. We appreciate all the hard work from the people that made this event possible and a success especially in such a short notice. Special thanks to the owner of Breeze In, Al Ahlgreen, for donations and Best Western Grandma’s Featherbed Restaurant owner, Mel Perkins, for the accommodations and providing the facility to host the event. The donations and proceeds were sent to ABS CBN network - Sagip Kapamilya Foundation.
