Thanks for Supporting Lions Packs Project

The Juneau Mendenhall Flying Lions Club would like to thank the community for their support of the Lions Packs collection drive that took place on Nov. 16 at the Nugget Mall. This was our first collection drive to collect backpacks for children entering the Foster Care Program, and we are very appreciative of the town’s overwhelming support. Special thanks to the Juneau Empire and Capital City Weekly for their media support, the Moose Lodge for their generous donation of Tommy the Moose, Dr. Anderson, SEARHC, Auke Bay Treasures, members of the Juneau Lions Club, family and friends, with a special thanks to all who took the time to donate. Because of you, we were able to deliver 95 backpacks including items of comfort and necessity to the Office of Children’s Services. Thank you.

If you’re interested in joining a service-oriented club, we would love to hear from you. For more information on how you can get involved, we can be reached at
