A Girls On The Run 5K fun run was held at the Dimond Park Field House Dec. 7. Participants included third- through fifth-grade girls from Gastineau, Harborview and Auke Bay Elementary Schools and sixth- through eighth-grade girls from Dzantik’i Heeni Middle School.

The race marked the end of a 12-week after-school training program that including running as part of a larger goal of inspiring girls to be healthy and confident.
