Big happenings with Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska in Juneau would like to thank the JSL Group at Merrill Lynch for showing their dedication to Juneau’s youth by making a pledge $1,000 a year for 3 years to support BBBSAK mentoring programs here in Juneau. The Bank of America matched their first $1,000 through the Bank of America Matching Gifts program.

For this month’s match activity, Big Brothers Big Sisters matches learned to screen print at the Canvas. Each match-made a masterpiece to be displayed at the JACC for the First Friday art-walk on Jan. 3, and at the Nugget Mall for the rest of January. January is National Mentoring Month and the matches that came to the Canvas started celebrating early by collaborating to make this beautiful artwork. This activity was funded in part by CBJ through sales tax revenues.
