AWARE announces first annual Arts and Media Scholarship Contest for Juneau teens

In recognition of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, Aiding Women in Abuse and Rape Emergencies (AWARE), Inc. is proud to announce its first annual Arts and Media Scholarship Contest. Juneau teens between the ages of 14 and 19 are invited to create art and media that demonstrates positive and healthy relationships. Three top winners will receive scholarships in the amount of $50, $100 and $150. These scholarships can be used to attend an art class at the University of Alaska Southeast, a workshop at a local studio, a dance lesson and more.

The contest is open to a variety of artistic expressions including, but not limited to, drawings, photographs, music videos, poetry, and orations. The deadline for submissions is March 14.
