TMHS student recognition for May

Thunder Mountain High School recognized six students for their academic performance and improving campus culture. Wayne Stevens was the guest speaker and Patrick Roach provided lunch.


Freshman Kristen Travers was nominated by Ms. Wells and Mr. Oz

She has excelled in academic excellence and leadership in and out of the classroom. She demonstrates the ability to juggle full academic schedule and extra curricular activities. Always with a sunny disposition and desire to learn.

Sophomore Rebecca Hassler was nominated by Chis Frank

This student consistently goes the extra mile and meets every high expectation.

Senior Elyssa Kelley was nominated by Stephen Gasche

Elyssa exhibits all the traits that will help her to be successful in her collegiate studies. He attendance is great. Her attentiveness in class is exceptional. Her note taking skills are exemplary. And her work ethic is strong. She knows how to self advocate when she needs help. Elyssa is a joy to teach.

Freshman Mandee Smith was nominated by Ms. Northcutt

Mandee has shown much growth and maturity over the semester. She has focused and made her academics a priority in my class. I am very proud of her growth and commitment to positive change!

Senior Angie Bonilla was nominated by Phil Merrell

Angie is awesome! She has a bright and engaging personality that can light up a room. She is always willing to help out whenever asked and is specifically being nominated for her help with the senior gift. An avid artist, Angie helped design the banner of our school song that will be displayed for years to come. Thank you Angie for being a Falcon!

Senior Grace Stauffer was nominated by Janna Lelchuk

Grace Stauffer, second year of Russian. Most reliable, hard working student who is respected by everyone in class. The winner of the Gold Medal in National Russian Essay contest in 2014! Way to go, amazing Grace!
