Davidson, Directo wed

Ciela Davidson wed Richard Directo on May 8, 2016, at Kiana Lodge on Bainridge Island, Washington, where a reception followed.

The bride is the daughter of Diana Cote and David Wetzel of Juneau, and Scott Davidson and Phyllis Henderson of Hilo, Hawaii. She graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School and attended Antioch University in Seattle. She currently works for Cured West in Boulder, Colorado.

The groom is the son of Tony and Darla Directo of Hemet, California. He graduated Notre Dame High School in Riverside, California, and also attended Antioch University. He works at Japango in Boulder.

The wedding was officiated by Randy Morris, Ph.D. The bride’s sister, Tessina Davidson, was the maid of honor; the attendants were Brenna Urquhart and Anna Schulman. Gergely Borsa and the groom’s sister, Maria Directo, were the best men; the attendants were Michael Directo, Michael Hamm and Jim Alday. Anzia DeRobertis served as flower girl. Doug Reed was the ring bearer. Eric Day and Cindy Updegrave provided a traditional blanket blessing. Zachary Davidson and Andrew Directo were the ushers. Caleb Davidson provided the music.

The ceremony included the story of how Raven and Coyote met, while two blue herons flew over the wedding party and tipped their wings. The couple honeymooned on the coast in Kalaloch, Washington. They make their home in Lyons, Colorado.
