The Juneau Community Foundation thanks the Juneau/Lynn Canal Cabaret, Hotel, Restaurant and Retailers Association (CHARR) for a recent donation of $20,000.
Half of the funds were donated to the Foundation’s recently established Juneau Hospice Fund which received an anonymous, start-up gift, of $100,000 in late October. Hospice has played an important role in the donor’s family life and they wanted this fund to attract more contributions such as the one just made by CHARR. This endowed fund will support hospice operations in Juneau. The other half of the donated CHARR funds directly support the Foundation’s year-round efforts to raise philanthropic support for important programs, services and special projects throughout the community.
