Recognition: Juneau resident earns state architect license

MRV Architects is proud to announce that Zane Jones has passed all exams required for licensing as an architect in the state of Alaska, and is now a full member of the American Institute of Architects.

Zane received his masters degree in architecture from the Design School at Arizona State University in 2012. He has worked at MRV Architects for five years, first as a summer intern in 2011 when he was intrigued to try the Juneau experience, then full-time as a project manager since 2012.

Originally from Utah, Zane has a background in construction and earned his bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in 2007. Zane is also a LEED Green Associate. His most recent projects for MRV include Housing First and the Marine Exchange of Alaska building, both currently under construction in Juneau.

Zane is on several volunteer boards, including Juneau Jazz &Classics, Juneau Historic Resource Advisory Committee, Juneau Commission on Sustainability, and as the Southeast Section Chair for AIA Alaska. When he finds time, he is a hiking and running enthusiast.
