On an otherwise cold, gray Monday morning downtown, Michael Tarren Scott’s buffalo plaid shirt was the only color in sight. His bright red and black checks stood out against his otherwise all black, cold weather gear: toque, puff jacket, jeans, and boots. En route to the library to read, he stopped to say “hello” and I appreciated the momentary brightness he brought to the day. Michael is a local Christian hip-hop artist and poet.
