On behalf of the Juneau-Douglas Shrine Club, we want to thank everyone who attended our inaugural Christmas party on Dec. 17 at the Juneau Masonic Center.
The event was so packed with folks from Juneau and Douglas — and a few from even farther away — that we lost count after our attendance hit the 200 mark. It’s hard to imagine a more successful beginning to what we hope becomes an annual capital city tradition.
Special thanks go out to the Juneau Rainbow Girls, who assisted with set-up, clean-up, replenishing the goodies and aiding Santa in his efforts to meet with all the good girls and boys who came.
After the party, Santa headed back to the North Pole to finish his preparations for Christmas, but he wanted us to let the kids who came to the party know he worked hard to get their toys ready and plans to come back in 2018 to hear more wish lists.
Thank you again.
