Alaska Fish & Chips Company is hosting the first “Southeast Alaska Cornhole Invitational” on Sunday, Sept. 18 in Marine Park Plaza.
The event takes place the day after Capital Brewfest and will feature music, food, beer, 16 cornhole courts and a bracket ready for 64 teams. Team registration is $70. The event is free to spectators.
In case there’s any confusion, cornhole is the backyard lawn game with beanbags and boards. The beanbags are aimed and then tossed at the holes on the board. A team consists of two players. Participants must be 21 years of age or older.
