Bikers take on Perseverance

Thirteen local mountain bikers participated in Saturday’s Perseverance Trail Race.

 

Riders started at the Ebner Falls spur trail and raced up Perseverance until reaching the second entrance of Red Mill Trail. Sport Division racers then went one lap around Red Mill and finished back at Ebner Falls. Experts rode three laps of Red Mill.

Joe Sorenson won the Men’s Sport Division in a time of 22 minutes, 22 seconds; Gordon Wilson-Naranso was second with 22:46.

Tess Quinn won the Women’s Sport Division in 23:44.

The Men’s Expert winner was Colling Wigfield-Gorka in 42:32. Second place went to Tyler Hoos in 44:03, third to Matt Pinard in 49:20, fourth Reed Harris (49:50), fifth Jaime Kissner (51:13), sixth Taylor Horne (52:59), seventh Jason Fagel (54:47), eighth Chris LaPlante (1:03:30), and ninth Aron Arvidso (1:08:22).

The Women’s Expert winner was Sheilia Good in 59:58.
