Wallace Ivan DeBoff

Wallace Ivan DeBoff died Jan. 29, 2013. He was 84.

Born in Olympia, Wash. to Ivan DiBoff and Maude Ruby DiBoff on March 14, 1928, “Wally” was an 80-plus-year resident of the Juneau area, having moved here with his parents and younger brother Richard when he was approximately 3 years old.

Wally was a well-known and respected engineer throughout Alaska due to his years of work with the Buildings Section of the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.

A celebration of Wally’s life will be held in the spring when many of his lifelong friends have returned to Juneau from their winter homes in the Lower 48.
