A simple request

My name is Brian. I am a fifth grader at Mendenhall River Community School. I would like to talk about a littering problem in Juneau. Juneau should stop littering because it pollutes the air and it risks dangerous consequences. We should put signs up so people can help the community. The community should at least consider my no littering request.  Littering gives a bad example to other places in Alaska. A thing we could do is put more trash cans all around town so people don’t litter when going somewhere. Then there’s the problem with hikes and the forests. We could urge people to put their trash in their backpacks until they get into town.

Sincerely, Brian B.
