Phase II of the new boat launch facility of the Statter Harbor Master Plan is underway. At a glance, the current work in progress leaves one to wonder what in the world is going on.
But after talking to those managing the project, it turns out that it is progressing nicely toward its stated goals. According to harbormaster David Borg, the second phase will be completed by July 2016. Phase II of the $12 million project is aimed at expanding parking, and importantly, it’s supposed to include a plan to reduce traffic congestion in the horseshoe-shaped harbor.
