Four riflemen participated in the Sunday hi-power rifle match hosted by the Juneau Rifle and Pistol Club. The weather was cold, with overcast skies. This match marked the first of the season for the local shooting club. Due to deep snow at the Hank Harmon Rifle Range, riflemen were required to dig firing lanes for the two prone firing positions; rapid and slow fire. The day warmed to 40 dedrees F during the match, with bright sun and clear sky.
Charles Clark, a new JRPC member, fired the rifle competition, while JRPC officer Mike Knapp fired a personal best score.
The scores were: Mal Menzies (464.7x/500), Mike Knapp (462.5x/500), David Zunica (425.6x/500) and Charles Clark (164.1x/500). For individual position scores (i.e., standing, sitting rapid, prone rapid and prone slow), click on the link with this story.
