Results: Tom Freeman Memorial shoot

On a hi-overcast day with temperatures in the low to mid 50s, 15 Juneau Gun Club members met to shoot the Tom Freeman Marathon (300) Singles. 15 shotgunners began and 13 finished; one had to leave after 100 singles and one had multiple gun problems.

The overall champion was Ken Pearson who shot a score of 294/300, followed by runner-up Pete Hudson who scored 290/300.

The class “A” winner was Hank Masters, with a shooting score of 287/300, followed by Mal Menzies, 286/300, and Jay Davis, 281/300. Dennis Travis was the “B”class winner with a score of 275/300, followed by Bud Burnett, 88/100. The “C” class winner was Doug Solberg who scored 283/300, and George King was the runner-up with 280/300. He was followed by Wayne Bertholl, 276/300, and Evan Manly, 90/100. The “D” class winner was Fred Wilson with a 278/300 and runner-up was R. Greg, 271/300, followed by Fred Bergander, 256/300, and Greg Seider, 255/300. Seider won the Red Lantern award of a turkey. In a special drawing, George King was also awarded a turkey.

A BBQ followed the shoot and included an extra group of attendees.
