Running enthusiasts are invited to participate in a workshop geared toward reducing injuries through strength training from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan 21, at the Dimond Park Field House.
Participants will get a look into the need and application of strength training in a running program to reduce future injuries. There will be a few opportunities for volunteers to demonstrate exercises and receive a free t-shirt for their effort. This is an interactive workshop, so participants are encouraged to dress in clothing they are comfortable working out in. Also, some exercises will be performed on the concrete floor, so if participants have a yoga mat, they are asked to bring it. Several extras will be available for people that do not own one.
Cost to participate is $10.
