Registration now open for Master Gardener training in Fairbanks

Registration is now underway for master gardener training classes. Classes begins Feb. 20 in Fairbanks, and will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. through April 11. Participants will receive 40 hours of instruction.

Master gardeners are required to give 40 hours of volunteer service to the community within two years of completing the class.

Participants pay a $125 fee and receive a copy of “Sustainable Gardening: The Alaska Master Gardener Manual.” The class is limited to 25 students.

Registration is requested by Feb. 13.
