Division of Agriculture accepting grant applications

PALMER - The Alaska Department of Natural Resources Division of Agriculture is seeking applications for three grants, one designed for teachers and the other two targeting agricultural producers.

Each grant has specific and distinct requirements, funding amounts and deadlines. To find out more, go to www.dnr.alaska.gov/ag and click on the “Grants” tab under the “Programs” header. Application forms, sample proposals and contact information for each grant are also available on the website.

“Our grant programs offer industry and community members access to funding for implementing fresh ideas in agriculture,” said Division Director Franci Havemeister. “This is a great opportunity to try out a new marketing effort, research a new variety, or teach kids about Alaskan agriculture.”
